Cinco de Mayo Deals & Free Stuff Florida Residents Can Enjoy

What is Cinco de Mayo any way?  It’s a yearly celebration held on May 5, commemorating the anniversary of Mexico’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.  Here in the US, we have Americanized the holiday as another excuse to drink margaritas and eat tacos on a week night, along side celebrating Mexican culture.

Below you’ll find quite a few places offering up sweet deals and freebies this year.

We grabbed some of these from the folks over at Offers.com, and have come up with a full list of Cinco de Mayo deals and free stuff Florida residents can enjoy this year.   Most of the deals listed below are for national chains, so you don’t have to live in Florida to take advantage of those.   As with any offers, be sure to check with your local franchise as all offers aren’t always available at all locations.

  • Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar

    This chain will be reducing the price of its Margaliters (in the plastic bottles) from $37 to $28 at all locations on Cinco De Mayo. The chain will also be holding block parties at four of their eight locations throughout Florida, including Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Naples and Orlando.

    Cantina 109 in Fort Myers, Fla. is raffling free tacos for a year on Cinco de Mayo.

    Cinco de Mayo marks the beginning of Spring, otherwise known as margarita season at Applebee’s. Applebee’s Mucho Cocktails are now $5. Served in a signature glass, they are made with premium spirits and are available to-go at participating locations. The new Breezy Bahama Mama, made with Bacardi Superior, banana liqueur, coconut, cherry, pineapple and orange juice.     If you find yourself near a Chili’s on Cinco de Mayo, make sure to stop in to get your hands on of their $5 Drink Deals, including the Presidente Margarita, Cheers to Patrón, Cuervo Blue, Frose ‘ritas and select draft imports.

    Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop with Baja-inspired fare, including family meals starting at $35, available for dine-in and take out.

  • Jose Cuervo

    In honor of our nation’s bartenders, your favorite tequila company, Jose Cuervo® is giving thanks to them by running a Tip It Forward sweepstakes. From now until May 5, you can head to their website to enter for a chance to receive $10 to tip a bartender via Venmo.   • Miller's Ale House

    Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Miller’s Ale House with $3 House Margaritas and $9 Margarita Pitchers for dine-in only.

    Cinco de Mayo is technically one day, but at Tijuana Flats, it’s a three-day Five Buck Cinco Bash featuring menu items for only $5. From May 5 through May 7, Tijuana Flats will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with this limited-time special on Tijuana Trio, Chips & Queso, Chips & Guac, Margaritas and Mexican Drafts. Don’t pass this up.
