Another weekend in Southwest Florida and we are yet again watching the weather as Hurricane Lee heads towards Florida. However, meteorologists in Fort Myers and Naples are assuring us that this is “not our storm”. It appears to be staying in the Atlantic. It is a good to remind you that Friday is the final day for tax free shopping in Florida on all hurricane supplies. Need some extra batteries? Pick some up and save a little money. Enjoy comedy, crafts and dining this weekend in Southwest Florida. Here are your Weekend Vibes for September 8-10.

Good news this week, the famous Bubble Room Emporium reopened on Sanibel Island nearly one year after Hurricane Ian destroyed it. Even better news, the toll on the Sanibel Causeway is lifted again this Sunday to encourage visitors. In fact, authorities have extended the free toll program until September 24th. The beaches have also reopened after being closed again by Hurricane Idalia flooding.

It’s the last weekend to see the Mighty Mussels play baseball at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers. Their season wraps up for the summer with all kinds of activities for fans. Scroll down for more details. As baseball winds down,  Sizzle Restaurant Week heats up. It’s a great way to get out and support local restaurants while getting some pretty amazing pre-fix dining deals. Even better, your dining out helps to feed kids in Southwest Florida who are food insecure. You can find a few more details below.
