If you have a trip planned or maybe need some vaca inspo, Zippia looked through Google Trends data to figure out which international destination was most popular in each state.

• Mexico

  Mexico is the most popular travel destination for Americans in 2022 and it is #1 overall in New Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon, Montana, Oklahoma and West Virginia.

  Canada is also pretty popular being #1 in Connecticut, Florida, Nevada, Tennessee and Pennsylvania.

  Both North and South Dakota have the most interest in visiting the Bahamas, but it’s also #1 in Nebraska, Maine, Vermont, New Jersey and Utah.
