It’s a big week for celebrations, cookouts, and gathering with friends and family. Food is almost always a big part of the party whether you are in Southwest Florida or anywhere else in the United States. Skewers are a fantastic way to make cooking and serving easy. They also allow for lots of creativity. One of the recipes below has a good combination of summer veggies.

There is also a fun, 4th of July themed appetizer. It’s popular to have flag designs and of course the colors red, white and blue on the table. You can do that both with and without food dye depending on what you are putting together

Finally, I can’t resist a colorful drink recipe. The one I have below is non-alcoholic. But for anyone who wants a little zip zip, they can easily add their favorite liquor for an adult version.
