As of about 6 am Tuesday morning, we still don’t know the Powerball numbers from the Monday night Powerball drawing. There’s two things I wanted to check when I got up. My Powerball numbers, and the tropical storm. But Powerball has been delayed. In a statement from the California Lottery:

“Tonight’s Powerball® drawing has been delayed due to a participating lottery needing extra time to complete the required security protocols. Powerball has strict security requirements that must be met by all 48 lotteries before a drawing can occur.”

“When the required security protocols are complete, the drawing will be performed under the supervision of lottery security officials and independent auditors. Winning numbers will be posted as soon as they are available. Thank you for your patience. ”

Here’s the link to the Powerball website. At last check it still says ‘results pending’. We don’t know which state it is, but apparently there’s one state still processing it’s sales data. They lay it out pretty clearly about why there’s a delay but we are not patient people. If you’re like me, you woke up before your alarm went off to get up and check the numbers. But now we wait. For how long? Not sure. That last statement I saw said “Tuesday morning.” Well, that’s now. And Twitter has thoughts.

UPDATE:  The numbers are finally in. Looks like they did it around 9:30 this morning.  The winning numbers are 10-33-41-47-56 and the Powerball was 10. Now we wait to see if anyone won.
