Here are you Weekend Vibes, what’s happening in Southwest Florida Dec 23-25. I mean besides the obvious, Christmas and Hanukah. The beach might be a little cold for most to get in the water this weekend. Unless you’re in a Santa suit like this guy. However, a nice beach walk is almost always in order.

Christmas lights

Take a night time drive and check out the many Christmas light displays in Southwest Florida.

If you are in town, it’s likely you have holiday guests. Or perhaps some free time. And if you have a full house, there’s a good chance you’ll want to get everyone out and about at some point. Checking out holiday lights and displays is a popular pastime regardless of what you might celebrate. They are beautiful, they are festive and some people go to great lengths to make theirs a display of awe.

The holidays are looking a little different for a lot of people this year. Hurricane Ian is one of the big reasons. It’s been a rough few  months. Please take time to take care of yourself. The holidays can be challenging in any given year. This one is unlike any many of us have experienced. If you need some mental help resources to help you get through the next few days, click here for an updated list.

In the meantime, if you have the means, the energy, and the desire to do so, please support the local businesses that are open and charities that are still trying to raise money to keep their doors open. If you have any additional events to share, please email me here.
