Here are your Weekend Vibes, what’s happening in Southwest Florida March 3-5. It’s on! Baseball spring training games are officially underway in Southwest Florida. Despite Hurricane Ian, the show goes on and the boys of summer are bringing smiles to sports fans who come here from all over the country. In Fort Myers you can see the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins. In addition, the Tampa Bay Rays are in Port Charlotte. Buy your tickets now. Spring Training may have just arrived but it will be over before you know it.

What else is happening in Southwest Florida this weekend.

There are  numerous food and beer festivals to keep you hydrated and well fed. In addition, the art show season is still in full force. It’s also Cape Coral PRIDE Fest. Keep in mind that there could be a few road closures downtown in the area of 47th Terrace beginning on Friday and running through Sunday.

One more thing, we get it when it comes to hurricane recovery.  Many businesses in Southwest Florida are still closed and many people still without a place to live. However, more places are opening and more residents are finding relief. If you feel like getting out and about, we have a few ideas here. But then again, if you are still not feeling so great mentally that is OK. We want to offer you some resources so click here to find some that might be of benefit.

  • Beatles-vs-Stones, A Musical Showdown

    It’s the ultimate concert that never happened between these iconic British Bands. This is Friday night at Barbara B Mann in Fort Myers. Tickets are still available.

  • Southwest Florida Lee County Fair

    It’s the last weekend of the fair that has been a Lee County tradition since 1924. Enjoy thrilling rides, food, strange exhibits, games and more. Prices and events vary widely so check out the website for the best information. There are bag policies so be sure to check that as well. At the Lee County Civic Center, east of I-75 in North Fort Myers.

  • Cape Coral PRIDE

    This annual PRIDE Fest kicks off on Friday and runs through Sunday. There area all kinds of events including a Drag Brunch, Parade, parties,  and more. All of the details are here.

  • Naples Craft Beer Fest

    Sample craft brews from around the world at this event and enjoy live music too. It’s Saturday 12-4 at Bayfront Place. Parking is off site and there is a shuttle, In addition, all tickets to this beer fest are pre-sold here. No tickets are available at the door.

     

  • Bonita Springs Boat Show

    Find all things boats here. From actual vessels to accessories, vendors, boating experts and everything in-between. It’s at the Bonita Springs Poker Room on Bonita Beach Road, all weekend from 10-5 each day. Admission is $10

  • Bonita Springs National Art Festival

    It’s the last in a series of art shows planned for Riverside Park in Bonita Springs. More than 200 artists from around the country fill the park with one of a kind pieces. The event is free both Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. Good for the entire family, including the well behaved dog.

  • Swamp Buggy Races

    If you haven’t been to one, it’s quite a show and the people watching is great. The giant swamp buggies are in action Saturday at Naples Sports Park.

  • Southwest Florida Con

    Dress up and have some fun at Southwest Florida Con. Participate in a lip sync battle and enjoy a variety of interactive activities. It’s 10am-5pm Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Bell Tower in Fort Myers. Ticket prices vary

     

  • Food Truck Palooza

    It’s the 2nd year for this food event at Temple Shalom in Naples. Dine from a variety of local food trucks and also enjoy pony rides, a beer garden, carnival games, entertainment and a kids zone. 4630 Pine Ridge Road. $5
