5 Great Covers From Our Favorite Pop Stars
We always love to see an artist’s interpretation of someone else’s musical compositions!
When you get to see a singer cover another artist’s song, it gives you a genuine and new appreciation for said song. Though we can admit there are some pretty horrible covers out there as well (Black Eyed Peas doing Guns N’ Roses, anyone?), there are some pretty fabulous ones as well!
Here are just a few songs we love that we’ve seen covers of, especially some of the recent times!

Performed at One Love Manchester, Ariana Grande brought tears to our eyes with this rendition of the song.
Boyce Avenue with Sarah Hyland – “Closer” – Originally Performed By The Chainsmokers and Halsey
We never knew Sarah Hyland of Modern Family had that set of pipes! Love, Love, and LOVE!
Taylor Swift – “This Is What You Came For,” Originally Made Famous By Calvin Harris and Rihanna
Though Taylor Swift has songwriting credits for the jam, it was great to see Taylor sing a stripped down version for this song at one of her concerts.
Ed Sheeran – “Drunk In Love” w/ Beyonce – Made Famous By Beyonce and JAY Z

Global Citizen Festival 2015 was blessed with not only Queen Bey, but a stripped down version of Ed Sheeran joining her to play the song with her on his acoustic guitar. It was a very different rendition but somehow became very beautiful versus super naughty.
Kelly Clarkson – “Jealous,” Originally Made Famous By Nick Jonas
Kelly Clarkson took Fan Requests at her shows and did some of the best covers we’d ever seen. This one was particularly cool to sing a song originally sung by a guy.
