Twitter Calls Out Transphobia & Homophobia in Wake of Dwight Howard Scandal
The Washington Wizard’s was the center of social media attention on Saturday night. Twitter user @MasinElije detailed in series of tweets the relationship he had with Dwight Howard.
He recorded conversations between he and Dwight and found out that Dwight was attending parties frequented by transgender women. Masin Elije also detailed that Dwight’s pastor was stalking and harassing him in an effort to get him to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and to give him “hush money.” Masin Elije refused to accept the money. Masin has contacted the police and posted the series of tweets as a, “just in case anything happened to me.” Social media made many jokes about Dwight’s sexuality with many firing back that the “tea” should not be about his sexual preference but about him and his team stalking and harassing Masin. Sports commentator Shannon Sharpe said they will not be discussing Dwight Howard on FOX Sports 1 tomorrow morning because his sexuality is not a sports topic.
