Ariana Grande wasn't worried about missing out on the GRAMMYs Sunday.
After canceling her performance last week due to conflicts over control of her music choices, Grande decided to post an impromptu Instagram photo shoot in her couture gown she had made for the show.
"When @ZacPosen makes u a custom gown it doesn’t matter if you’re singing or not," she captioned the photo.
It was yet another dig at the GRAMMYs for Grande, who called the show's producer Ken Ehrlich our for "lying" on her after he told the AP that she canceled her performance due to a timing issue. Grande was adamant that the GRAMMYs were trying to control her artistic choices and she wasn't here for it.
She also called out the show for Mac Miller's loss in the Best Rap Album category to Cardi B, calling it "trash" and "bullsh*t" in a series of now-deleted Tweets. She later clarified her comments saying there was no shade at Cardi B.
"good for her. i promise. i’m sorry," she reportedly wrote.
Cardi, for her part, said she was sharing the award with Mac Miller.
In spite of the drama surrounding Grande's thoughts on the GRAMMYs, she still took home the award for Best Pop Vocal Album Sunday.
