Tom Hanks plays Mister Rodgers in a movie; cue nostalgia tears
We are finally getting a look at Tom Hanks portraying the legendary Mr. Rogers.
On Monday, the trailer for A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood was released.
The trailer features Hanks, sporting that iconic red sweater, and singing, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?”. Cue the nostalgic tears.
The movie is based on a true story of a relationship between Mr. Rogers and a reporter Tom Junod who did an interview about him.
The upcoming movie comes less than two years after the release of Won’t You Be My Neighbor? — a tearjerker of a documentary about the man behind the show.
A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood will be released on Thanksgiving.
