Tinder And DuoLingo Team Up So You Can Become Fluent in Flirting
Tinder and Duolingo are teaming up to help you can flirt with people around the world without getting lost in translation.
With most international vacations are on pause, many people have taken to dating apps like Tinder in hopes to find love during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tinder announced a Passport feature earlier this year that helps users have a fantasy fling abroad while they wait for a vaccine passport.
Now that Tinder’s Passport feature is taking flight, Duolingo is joining the team to give 100,000 members a free month of Duolingo Plus.
Tinder members can ditch Google Translate and take up free lessons on Duolingo to better communicate with their long-distance connections. Users can choose from lessons in 40 languages.
“Passport is one of our most popular paid features and since it’s been free we’ve had our busiest day of 2021,” said Udi Milo, VP Product, Tinder. “In the first week alone there was a 25% increase in the number of matches made as a result of the feature, so a partnership with Duolingo will help our members spark conversations easily, no translation needed.”
