Gator Attacks Man In SWFL

Oh wow a man was attacked by an alligator in SWFL! It all happened in Venice Florida which is only an hour away from Fort Myers!

According to NBC 2, a man was attacked by an alligator over the weekend in Venice, Florida while he was fishing. It all happened at 11am on Sunday morning while the man was in a pond off of Precision Drive in North Venice. The gator took a bite out of a 39 year old mans leg and he was transporter via a helicopter to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. FWC was called in to trap and transport the alligator to another location.

I'm glad that the man is ok! And that the gator is being moved to another location. Stay safe when getting in the water in SWFL.
