War Hero to Receive a New Home in Port St. Lucie
Tingle Tuesday is all about “giving” to our community throughout the holiday season. Changing lives by providing love, hope, and joy to others through gift giving.
Monday morning retired U.S. Marine Sgt. Chris Fleming visited Port St. Lucie with his family for the groundbreaking ceremony, according to WPBF.
“We’re standing on the future spot for our new home,” Fleming said. “Its going to make everything better.”
U.S. Marine Sgt. Chris Fleming is a war hero, who lost both legs in an IED explosion in Afghanistan and will soon move with his two sons and his girlfriend into their four-bedroom, three-bath, wheelchair-accessible home in Port St. Lucie.
The Helping A Hero organization and Bass Pro Shops have partnered with Mattamy Homes to launch 100 Homes Challenge.
Do you know a war hero who served in in post 9/11 wars? You too can “Nominate a Hero,” by completing a home application online.
