Drone Footage: Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach Construction Progress
Whether or not you’re a fan of Margaritaville coming to Fort Myers Beach, it is definitely happening. And it’s going to completely change the town. Construction began late last year and as you can see, they’re making steady progress. According to the official website,
“The brand-new Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach is bringing our casual-luxe island lifestyle to Southwest Florida. From 254 high-end rooms and suites to signature Margaritaville services and amenities, you’ll be able to kick back without a care in the world. A stay at this tropical getaway can be as laid-back or action-packed as you wish. Turn up the adrenaline with some water sports, set sail on an adventure through the area’s natural beauty, or simply book a massage and soak up some sun with a frozen concoction by the pool. After all, we’re on island time here. Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach is scheduled to open in 2023.”
Here is drone footage taken by Brian Kennedy yesterday before the rain came.
There was a report that a second Margaritaville resort was being built on Lofton’s Island, but that later proved to be false. There is going to be some type of resort built there (the island is on the Caloosahatchee near downtown Fort Myers), but it is not a Margaritaville.
