Everything Everywhere All At Once made $68 million at the box office and counting, topping Uncut Gems to become A24’s highest-grossing film ever in the U.S. and Canada. Among the cultural effects that it has had (beyond "hot dog fingers") is increased demand for googly eyes at craft stores... which has now led to a shortage.

Recently, A24’s Twitter account posted some screenshots alleging that the googly eye supply at Michaels arts and crafts had been completely cleaned out, with one blaming “that Everything movie.”

Replying back, Michaels wrote, "We will, we promise!"

If you haven't watched the film yet, the googly eyes are almost always prevalent throughout, with our first sighting when Waymond (Ke Huy Quan) sticks them all over their home, laundromat and anywhere, really. Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh) ultimately embraces them, affixing one to her forehead in the movie’s climactic fight scene.

Watch the trailer below:

Everything Everywhere All At Once is arguably the best movie to come out this year. An A24 film, the plot reads: "With her laundromat teetering on the brink of failure and her marriage to wimpy husband Waymond on the rocks, overworked Evelyn Wang struggles to cope with everything, including a tattered relationship with her judgmental father Gong Gong and Joy, her daughter. And, as if facing a gloomy midlife crisis wasn't enough, Evelyn must brace herself up for an unpleasant meeting with an impersonal bureaucrat: Deirdre, the shabbily dressed IRS auditor. However, as the stern agent loses patience, an inexplicable multiverse rift becomes an eye-opening exploration of parallel realities."
