Enjoy Holiday EggNog Made With Mayonnaise
Enjoy Holiday EggNog Made With Mayonnaise.
If consumers don’t sample their stuff for Christmas, the business strategy this year seems to be to deceive them into doing so. Previously, Pepsi was included in the milk, and now, mayonnaise is mixed to your eggnog?
Yes, eggnog is the classic holiday beverage. Most celebrations wouldn’t be complete without a drink of traditional eggnog for everyone. Who doesn’t adore the frothy but occasionally revolting Christmas beverage? When you see it in the movie Christmas Vacation, it does look really good. Right? Who could forget Clark Griswold enjoying this holiday beverage from a moose glass with his family? That is Christmas in a glass now.
I’ll explain what exactly is in eggnog in case you weren’t aware. alcohol and eggs. Also are some spices. To be precise, eggnog contains rum, brandy, and cognac in addition to milk, heavy cream, simple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg. I believe what makes it drinkable is the alcohol. But Mayo?! Who the hell wants you to add mayonnaise to that?
Leave it to the people who manufacture Best Foods and Hellmann’s mayonnaise. This year, they want you to try adding it to your eggnog since, according to them, it tastes far better than using simple eggs. They even shared a recipe on Instagram. We’re all going to be in trouble when Santa comes down the chimney this year and discovers that you’ve mixed Pepsi into his milk and mayonnaise into his eggnog.
There are perhaps some of you out there who believe it might be good, but I’m here to tell you that it’s disgusting. Getting me to drink eggnog is difficult enough without adding mayonnaise. There is a restaurant in New York that started offering it because they thought it was a wonderful idea; they name it frozen mayo nog. However, you could always create it at home if you don’t want to travel all the way to New York State. In fact, I made it easier for you by clicking here. Just try not to throw up.
