Mark Wahlberg’s Daughter Thinks He’s An Idiot
Just because Mark Wahlberg is an actor, it doesn’t mean that his children see him in any other way than their goofy dad. In a new interview with People, the Ted star says his teenage daughter Grace, 13, is at the age where she thinks she knows everything. As we previously reported, Wahlberg, 52, has called his youngest Grace his “baby” the “one who is most like me.”
His Family Plan
While attending the Las Vegas premiere of his movie The Family Plan, he says Grace thinks he and his wife Rhea Durham “are complete idiots in many, many ways.” In an October 2022 virtual appearance on The Talk, the Departed actor revealed his family relocated from Los Angeles to Nevada to give them a “better life and pursue their dreams — whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer. A few months ago, he gave People an update that his three kids all “adapted nicely” to their new lives in the Silver State.

In his upcoming action/comedy film, Wahlberg plays a former assassin-turned-suburban dad who is attempting the same move to Nevada. This time, it’s because his cover has been blown, and he needs to find safety in Las Vegas. While appearing on The Talk Thursday (December 14), Wahlberg’s co-star Michelle Monaghan discusses the director asking for the duo to learn and rap along to Vanilla Ice’s “Ice, Ice Baby” for a scene in the movie. Director Simon Cellan Jones offered two song choices to learn one night before: one was a “really long-winded Irish song” and the other was Vanilla Ice’s iconic 1990 hit.
