1 Florida City Rated Worst In America For A Good Night’s Sleep
There is nothing better than feeling refreshed after a good night’s sleep, but 1 Florida city rated worst in America for that.
I look forward every year to rainy season in Fort Myers. I love the sunshine of course, one of the reasons I moved to Southwest Florida, but when it comes to an afternoon nap or a good night’s sleep, there’s something about a storm that just lulls you right to sleep. Now, I do have a very scared puppy when he hears those cracks of thunder, but last night after I calmed him down, I slept like a baby.
But it can be a variety of things that can contribute to a restful night. Maybe it’s a fan, super cold AC, a sound machine, or the warmth of your partner next to you in bed. No one wants a night of tossing and turning, but it comes to getting a good night’s sleep, there’s 1 Florida city rated worst in America for that.
1 Florida City Rated Worst In America For A Good Night’s Sleep
It’s been so long since I lived in a big city that I kind of forgot just how noisy it can be. I was in New York last summer, just for 1 night, and after hearing honking and sirens at all hours of the night, I was thinking to myself “how does anybody get any sleep around here!?” But then you talk to people that live there, and they say without it that they can’t sleep. So I guess it just depends on what you’re used to. But I prefer the quiet.
A new study conducted by Pure CBD Now looked at the 50 most populated cities in America and the noise levels in each. They looked at both road and airplane noise and the decibels of each. Miami beat out both New York City and Boston for being the loudest with a dBA level of 52.31, the highest in America.
Another Florida city is on the list, however this time for getting the best night’s sleep. Jacksonville came in at #4 for the quietest city with a dBa of 38.96.
