Publix Plans New Store in North Bay at U.S. 41 and Wiggins Pass
Work began in late 2024, as crews started renovating the former Lucky’s Market space. The plans include adding a drive-thru pharmacy window for easier pickup.
Gateway Shoppes is getting its biggest update since opening in 2008. Crews have demolished the old DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse and Norris Home Furnishings buildings.
Publix will only occupy the north portion of the old Lucky’s Market space.
Located at one of North Bay’s major intersections, customers will enter the store from the northwest entrance. This gives southwest Florida residents another option for their grocery shopping.
While other grocery stores serve North Bay, this new location puts empty retail space to good use, with the drive-thru pharmacy allowing shoppers to grab their medications without leaving their cars.
