Southwest Florida Kicks off New Year With Events, Shows, and Holiday Lights
Southwest Florida has big plans to bring in the new year. The skies over Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Fort Myers Beach will light up with spectacular fireworks beginning at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31.
Through Jan. 5, the historic Edison & Ford Winter Estates keeps its beloved 49th annual Holiday Nights going strong. Adults get in for $20 and kids for $2, with both guided and self-guided tours available.
On Dec. 31, funnyman Jim Gaffigan brings his comedy to Hertz Arena’s New Year’s Eve bash at 7 p.m., with tickets ranging from $26 to $121.
Art lovers can check out the free Coconut Point New Year’s Weekend Art Festival Dec. 28-29. Browse works from 100 top American artists. This event is free.
At the theater, check out Robert Hilliard’s new musical “Picadilly” at Laboratory Theater Dec. 28-30. Tickets for this event are $42, with students only paying $15.
Chanukah celebrations light up Fort Myers and Bonita Springs on Dec. 29, featuring menorah lighting ceremonies alongside musical performances.
