Kylie Jenner attends the 2022 Baby2Baby Gala presented by Paul Mitchell at Pacific Design Center on November 12, 2022 in West Hollywood, California.
Kylie Jenner is denying she’s ever had surgery on her face. In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kyle does Kourtney Kardashian’s makeup as Khloe is in the room. The three talked about society’s pressures on their famous family to be perfect. The makeup mogul, 25, explains that while it’s “normal to be insecure sometimes.” But, she notes, many people make untrue assumptions about her self-confidence.
“I always remember being the most confident kid in the room,” Kylie says. “I always loved myself — I still love myself — and one of the biggest misconceptions about me is that I was this insecure child and I got so much surgery to change my whole face, which is false, I’ve only gotten fillers.” She adds, “I feel like I don’t want that to be a part of my story.”
Kylie recalls she used to edit all her photos. Now, she realizes her influential family should encourage their fans to love themselves more as they are. Khloe, 39, has long been critical of her appearance and says she used to have the most confidence when she was heavier. “I was chubby and in a skin-tight body-con dress — you couldn’t tell me otherwise. Society gave me insecurities.” Kourtney, 44, agreed that the “beauty standards” in the world are so high.
During their heart-to-heart, Kylie then mentions insecurity her sisters brought out in her. “You don’t realize how you guys always talked about my ears?” she asks her sisters. Khloe responds that she only ever commented on them because she loves them. Kylie told her that she didn’t take it as a compliment. She felt that “everyone” making fun of her ears, “calling them dopey.” The mother of two added that it “f—ed” her up. Kylie adds that she never even thought about her ears until she was in the public eye.
Acceptance Through Children
For five years, she claimed she “never wore an updo” on a red carpet or to an event because of that. After she had daughter Stormi, who has her ears, in 2018, Kylie realized how much she loves them. “If I’m insecure about my ears, and I think my daughter is the most beautiful thing ever. Now I wear an updo to every carpet.” Kourtney recalls that their mother, Kris Jenner, used to have them all dressed alike and polished. Kourtney says her parenting style is being conscious of her children. She hopes to give “them the freedom to express themselves and not put so much pressure on perfectionism.”
New episodes of The Kardashians drop Thursdays on Hulu now.
