Disney’s Lizzie McGuire Actually Started The Bitmoji Trend
Oh, the fun bitmoji we all know and love.
Gone are the days of simply responding to a friend with the basics: letters and numbers. The bitmoji, an astounding invention that’s been added to the list of technological advances, has taken over cell phones across the world for years now. Heck, even emojis can’t compare to the bitmoji.
If you haven’t heard of it or haven’t created one, the bitmoji is a customized avatar you can use to communicate your thoughts, feelings, and emotions with your friends via text messages or popular apps, like Snapchat and WhatsApp. It sort of gives you your own identity. And the fun part, you can design your avatar, dressing him or her up with stylish outfits and hairstyles!

It all began with Bitstrips, comics you could make on Facebook. But Bitstrips CEO Jacob “Ba” Blackstock wanted to take that to the next level, turning you into your own emoji that could be experienced through your phone, according to businessinsider.com.
But did you know the cartoon avatar has been around long before the creation of the bitmoji?
We did some digging and discovered that Lizzie Mcguire, played by actress and singer Hilary Duff, had her own avatar at the time who portrayed the tv show character exactly on point. Her avatar demonstrated Lizzie’s true feelings and served as her subconscious. Hey, the Lizzie McGuire cartoon figure doesn’t look exactly like a bitmoji, but it’s pretty close.
And now that bitmoji does exist, you can live your life just like Lizzie McGuire once did!
