Jimmy Kimmel delivers the opening monologue. He begins by joking about last year’s infamous Best Picture flub. Kimmel jokes about “Oscar” being 90 years old. He jokes that Tonya Harding lucked out to be played by Margot Robbie in “I, Tonya.” Kimmel jokes about Meryl Streep being in prison. He Asks Steven Spielberg for pot and does a “Price Is Right” parody to reward the actor, who keeps their acceptance speech the shortest, with a jet ski.

– People magazine claims Lindsey Vonn had a wardrobe malfunction before she left for the Academy Awards. She had an issue with one of the sleeves on her custom gown so her stylist cut off the sleeves before sending her to the awards show

– People magazine claims Allison Janney wore $4 million worth of jewelry to the Academy Awards. She donned diamond earrings, a 55-carat diamond choker, a 10-carat diamond bracelet and an 18-carat ring

– The NY Post claims Jennifer Garner wore $825,000 worth of jewelry to the Oscars. Her 18-carat white gold diamond and blue sapphire earrings cost $605,000

– People magazine claims Rita Moreno wore her 1962 Oscars dress to last night’s Academy Awards.

– Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac, Kelly Marie Tran, and BB-8 from “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” present an award.

– The Los Angeles Times claims 18 workers spent 900 man hours installing last night’s Academy Awards Red Carpet.

– Each 8.5 pound Oscar statuette would be worth $180,000 if it was made out of pure gold. The bronze statues are plated in 24 karat gold.

– Thrillist.com claims actors and actresses wore orange pins on their Academy Awards formal wear last night to support the gun control advocacy group Everytown. Celebrities want stricter gun control laws following the Parkland, Florida school shooting

– Wonderwall claims actor Armie Hammer received an IV before the Academy Awards because he was not feeling well. He also posted a video of himself being manscaped. A woman was grooming his chest hair

– Macaulay Culkin Tweeted: “EXCLUSIVE: I heard Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein were going to come disguised as a very tall man in a long trench coat but they got busted by security. #Oscars.”
