Fifth Harmony group member Normani, who recently began her solo career just released her new video “Waves,” which features 6lack.

The track derives from the 22-year-old’s new upcoming debut solo album, which is due to drop towards the end of the year.

The track is about going back and forth between still being in love with an ex-lover while also trying to move on.

“Thank God for the weekend. I’mma go out with my friends. I’d rather let the liquor sink in,” the New Orleans native sings on the first verse. “Then the thoughts of you that I should not be thinking when I’m with someone else is feeling like I’m cheating.”

“First I blame you then I want you, f***ing hate you then I love you. I can’t help myself, no,” she continues.

Last night, Normani released behind the scenes photos from the video shoot on her Instagram page.
