Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and Ariana Grande is definitely flattered by Lana Del Rey’s cover of “Break Up With Your Girlfriend.”

After a fan posted the video of Del Rey covering Grande’s thank u, next single for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge on Monday (Sept. 9), Grande tweeted her support. “oh my god @lanadelrey,” she wrote. “i love u so very very much.”

On her cover of the track, Del Rey put her signature Lana spin on it, making it a little darker and a little sadder. This is the kind of song that will help usher in sad girl fall.

It’s not all that surprising that Del Rey would cover one of Grande’s songs, after all, she’s a fan. “I freaking loved that record,” Del Rey told the New York Times about thank u, next. “Every song, I was like, how did she write that?” That admiration was why Del Rey said she agreed to appear with Grande and Miley Cyrus on a track off the Charlie’s Angels soundtrack, which Grande co-executive produced. “So when she asked me to do the Charlie’s Angels feature, I was like, “All right, if you really want me to!” Del Rey said.

A snippet of the track can be heard in the trailer for the Charlie’s Angels reboot, but Grande is teasing on Twitter that the full track might drop soon.

Until then, listen to Del Rey’s Grande cover below.
