Apparently, “Cardi or Nicki?” is something that you might have to ask on a first date.

A couple recently claimed that one of the reasons why they went their separate ways is because of the fact they couldn’t agree on who was the better rapper, Cardi B or Nicki Minaj.

The couple, Don’te and D’Andrew Leaphart appeared on the TV show Divorce Court, and when they were asked by the host, Judge Lynn Toler, “What actually caused the separation?” D’Andrew replied, “The Nicki Minaj and Cardi B beef. I’m serious about that.”

Judge Toler thought that the couple was joking. However, they weren’t. D’Andrew explained that they were discussing “who started what” in regards to the two megastars rap beef. “It was silly,” Don’te said. He then said that he was team Bardi Gang although D’Andrew was team Barbz.

However, Don’te revealed that the couple had “underlying issues before” their argument regarding Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.

“He likes to blame it on that—it wasn’t ‘cause of that,” Don’te said, sharing  that D’Andrew was “ungrateful” and “disrespectful.” Don’te also shared that their disagreement about the two artists “was one of the moments [D’Andrew] was disrespectful.”

Don’te also claimed that D’Andrew broke his car windows and afterward, D’Andrew was in his own vehicle singing Jazmin Sullivan’s song  “Bust Your Windows.”

In court, Don’te sought payment for damages he incurred on his rental home with D’Andrew. He asked to pay his half of the $1,250 rental payment. Judge Toler told D’Andrew that he was ordered to settle the debt.
