Nick Cannon Seemingly Wants Mariah Carey Back In New Song ‘Alone’
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Nick Cannon appears to have opened up about wanting his ex-wife Mariah Carey back in a new song.
The Wild ‘N Out creator released the track “Alone” yesterday (February 14), which samples Carey’s 1990 song “Alone In Love” from her self-titled debut album. He posted a clip of the song on his Instagram page and captioned it, “This is for anybody else who is #ALONE on Valentines Day… I had to come Raw from the heart on this one. #Broken #Shattered #Toxic #RAW&B #Alone”
On the song, Cannon, 41, sings, “I say I’m cool when I know I miss it / I’d trade it all for the case / If I could have you back / If I could go back to where we started at / As much as I want you back / It’s probably better where you at.”
Yesterday, Cannon shared a selfie with 10-year-old daughter Monroe, whom he shares with Mariah on his Instagram captioning the post: “My Valentines date this year and from here on out!! And Powerful Queen can start joining us when she is older!! Happy Daddy Daughter Day!! ❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖💖” He posted the same photo to his Story wrting,”Happy Daughter-tines Day!!! 💗Miss Monroe!💗 Best Valentines Date Ever❤️”
While Nick was out with Monroe, Mariah, 52, was out with a Valentine date of her own: 10-year-old son Morocco. “My Valentine!!! ❤️❤️❤️”
Mariah Carey recently showed her support of Nick’s latest baby announcement with Bre Tiesi. A source divulged how Carey feels about Cannon’s 8th baby on the way saying, “Mariah and Nick are really great co-parents and have a good relationship [and] friendship now so any time Nick has exciting news to share, she’s just happy for him. They’re in a good place and they’re supportive of each other no matter what.”
The “We Belong Together” singer just wants to ensure that their kids have a good relationship with their father. “As long as Roc and Roe are still very much a part of Nick’s life, which they are, and he gives them equal attention, that’s what she solely cares about,” the source added, explaining that the twins “hold a special place” in Cannon’s heart. “They spend a lot of time with Nick and he seems to balance time well with all the children.”
In 2017, Carey said that she found it easy to develop an amicable relationship with Cannon following their 2016 divorce. “He’s a good guy. It’s not that hard to make it work. Now we can laugh, and joke, and do the good parts of when we had a relationship.”
