Drunk Florida Man Shoots His Boozing Buddy in Both His Legs
Ah, the drunk Florida man never disappoints. Like Thomas Arney, our drunk Florida man of the day. He decided that a normal night of heavy drinking just wasn’t thrilling enough. Nope, he needed some high-stakes drama, a dash of chaos, and a sprinkle of bullets. Allegedly, he took his friend on a journey from “Let’s chug some brews” to “I just shot both your legs.”
Now, I’m no detective, but when you find yourself at 4 in the morning with a loaded pistol, that’s usually a sign that your evening’s not going great. According to Fox 35, the script for this masterpiece began with a booze-infused argument, because what else do friends do after a night of hitting the bottle? Things escalated with Arney’s friend apparently smashing car windows for a warm-up. You know, just casual pre-fight activities.
Now, Arney claimed his buddy approached him “aggressively.” But it seems Arney wasn’t in the mood for a chat. So, naturally, he pulled out his firearm and gave his pal a gunshot souvenir for each leg.
Ouch. Our leading man wasn’t satisfied with just leg shots. Oh no, that’s for amateurs. He decided to round out the performance by using the pistol as a percussion instrument, giving his friend a nice bop on his head.
In addition to this blockbuster brawl, there was a witness, probably a neighbor, peeking out from behind the curtains. This spectator reported that Arney’s friend wasn’t exactly striking fear into anyone’s heart before becoming a target practice dummy.
So, Arney’s now enjoying a cozy stay at the Volusia County Branch Jail, where they offer gourmet meals of bologna sandwiches and existential regrets.
And there you have it, a true Florida classic. If you ever thought your hangouts with friends were bizarre, just remember the time Thomas Arney turned a tipsy tiff into a triple feature of leg-shooting, window-breaking, and head-banging. Nice job, Florida Man.
