Florida Airport Named Best Large Airport In America

We have a lot of really nice airports in the Sunshine State and one Florida airport was just named the best large airport in America.
I love to travel and often times, part of that travel includes going to the airport. I’m partial to RSW because of it’s proximity to home here in Fort Myers, the low cost of parking and the incredibly short TSA lines. But not always is it cheap to fly from RSW or are there flights available, so going to a larger airport is necessary. I’ve flown out of Tampa multiple times and really like airport too. I love all the art in the terminals and I think my favorite new addition is the big flamingo sculpture. If you haven’t seen it, it’s the coolest thing and just massive. There are also great dining options there too, great for passing the time while waiting for a flight.
One Florida Airport has been named the best large airport in America
In the J.D. Power North American Airport Satisfaction Survey Tampa International Airport (TPA) was named Best Large Airport in customer satisfaction. The study looked at a variety of things that make an airport enjoyable. Airport arrival/departure, baggage claim, TSA lines, check-in/baggage check, and food, beverage and shopping.
This isn’t the only award the airport has recently won. TPA also won the CODAWorx People’s Choice award this year for that flamingo sculpture I mentioned above. Last year, the airport also won America’s Best Restroom Award.
This Florida City Named One Of The Happiest Towns In America
I absolutely love living in the Sunshine State and one Florida city has been named one of the happiest towns in America.
Growing up in the cold north in Illinois, all I ever wanted to do was live in Florida. Since I’ve moved here to Fort Myers, I feel like I’m happier than I ever have been. No snow to shovel, no ice to scrape..can you tell I hate the cold? I love having things to do year-round, gorgeous beaches to enjoy and being able to be outside all the time brings me so much joy. Many people dream of living here. I always hear “you’re so lucky to live in paradise.” But really, it’s not about luck at all. It’s about making a decision, and doing it. And when you do, especially if you come here from a cold climate, you’ll be happier too.
What makes a town the happiest?
Active lifestyle enthusiast magazine Outside wanted to find the happiest towns in America. They looked at things like outdoor access, affordability, safety and diversity among other things. They started with a list of 300 contenders and carefully narrowed it down to 15. One Florida city, not far from us here in Southwest Florida made the list of the happiest towns. While they’re all very different and from different parts of the country, one thing they have in common are very happy residents.
