An 82-year-old Fort Myers man, Ronald Lucas, turned into a one-man home defense squad when an uninvited guest decided to crash his party. And let me tell you, Lucas didn't just politely show him the door; he gave him the full "you shall not pass" treatment.
It all happened in broad daylight, too. Ronald Lucas was minding his own business when an intruder waltzed into his humble abode in Suncoast Estates. Now, what does our fearless hero do? He doesn't dial 911 and hide under the bed. He springs into action like a senior citizen on a mission.
According to
NBC2, Ronald said that his wife had just had an operation, so he knew that he had to get her out safley. So Ronald, like a protective mama bear, was ready to rumble. And guess what? Mr. Lucas revealed that he gave that intruder a lesson in humility that he'll never forget. Lucas sent him tumbling down the stairs, bounce, bounce, and crash!
That's when Mr. Lucas grabbed his trusty cane and continued the beat down all the way to the highway. It was like a senior's version of a Rocky Balboa training montage. And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, a Good Samaritan finally stepped in and told the intruder, "You better leave that old man alone." Ronald's response? "Well, it's too late. I've already beat the tar out of him."
Now, our super senior may have ended up with some battle scars (bruises to be exact), but he defended his home and his wife with the tenacity of a grizzly bear protecting her cubs. And if you think for a second that Mr. Lucas is done, think again! He's ready for round two if that intruder ever dares to return. That's some dedication to home security!
And don't worry, the authorities are on the case. So, remember, don't mess with an 82-year-old Floridian on a mission to protect his castle. You might just end up taking a tumble down the stairs!
Remember once upon a time when a fight would break out at a Waffle House and everyone would freak out and there'd be police and news coverage? Now it's just expected. You go to Waffle House enough and you're going to see something. I'm not even sure where this fight happened but there's a lot going on to take in. The main part is that I'm seeing that knowing how to fight is a requirement if you're going to work nights at Waffle House. Watch this dude square up, it's not his first time. His backup came around the corner with a skillet. But the best part? Twitter got jokes.
