Britney Spears Reveals Why She Takes So Many Nude Selfies
In this handout photo provided by NBCUniversal, Britney Spears is pictured. Spears is the subject of the documentary "I Am Britney Jean".
Ever since Britney Spears was freed from her 13-year conservatorship, her Instagram page has been filled with her unfiltered thoughts and content. The 41-year-old often posts videos of her dancing in her underwear or photos of her wearing nothing at all. The only thing covering her up are some perfectly placed emojis from getting the photos taken down by Instagram.
Now, with the recent release of her tell-all memoir, The Woman In Me, the “Work Bitch” singer has revealed why she posts so many nude pictures on the social media site. The pop princess regained control over her own life and her social media account at the end of 2021. While her posts come off as strange at times, the mother of two explains in her book that she gets “joy” from being in control over her own body and image.

She writes: “I know that a lot of people don’t understand why I love taking pictures of myself naked or in new dresses. But I think if they’d been photographed by other people thousands of times, prodded and posed for other people’s approval, they’d understand that I get a lot of joy from posting the way I feel sexy and taking my own picture.”
This isn’t the first time Brit has addressed her nude posts on social media. Shortly after her conservatorship ended, she captioned a since-deleted topless post: “Before I show you more pics of my body … I want you to understand my thoughts on exposing my skin!!!! In my opinion, it’s quite twisted the immediate response of when any woman is hot and they want to shed a layer … no … I’m not talking in a strip club or a performance … just on a practical scale of being in your car and realizing you’re wearing a stupid long sleeve shirt in the summer!!!! The immediate reaction to any woman who does this after shedding a layer is DAMN I FEEL BETTER … therefore you think you look better!!!”
All of Britney Spears' Nudes Posted To Social Media in 2022
Britney Spears has been posting nudes on her Instagram since the beginning of the year. (And there’s no sign that she’s slowing down.) Though she posts and deletes sometimes and even deactivates her account for periods at a time, one thing remains certain: she will figure out a way to post a nude. In between her dance videos, inspirational quotes and throwback photos, the “Hold Me Closer” singer isn’t afraid to show the world her naked body.
After being freed from her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021, Britney wasted no time in celebrating her freedom online in any way which she chooses. This hasn’t stopped concerned fans from thinking there is still something wrong, with bizarre videos and long-winded captions. The pop icon also never hesitated to call out her family over the course of 2022. Spears said in September that the conservatorship and its fallout had left her feeling that she would rather “s— in [her] f—ing pool than join the entertainment business.” Though there are no plans at the moment, Elton John wants to collaborate with Britney Spears again. Meanwhile, X Factor‘s Simon Cowell also expressed that he wishes to have her back as a judge.
One huge milestone for Britney, post-conservatorship, was her marriage to Sam Asghari in June. A slew of celebrities attended her big day, including Paris Hilton, Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Ansel Elgort and Donatella Versace.
