Congratulations to Rickey Johnson of Winter Haven Florida. Rickey claimed a 5 million dollar prize from the Florida Lottery Gold Rush Limited Scratch Off. He bought the $20 ticket from the Haines City Food Mart at 95 U.S. Highway 17-92 West in Haines City. Let’s take a closer look at that ticket.
The $20 Gold Rush Limited Card has been in stores for quite awhile. It first showed up on September 20, 2021 and there’s actually quite a few big winners left. After Rickey’s win, there’s still 9 of the original 32 top prizes of 5 million dollars remaining. Even the secondary prizes are still out there. 25 of the original 100 million dollar tickets are still unclaimed. For a two year old ticket, that’s still quite a few. Overall odds of winning something are 1-in-2.65.
Where have winning tickets been sold outside of Winter Haven?
This is interesting. Outside of a Jacksonville win, this ticket has been hitting in the Tampa area lately. October 16th, a one million dollar winner from a Winn Dixie in St. Petersburg. September 8th, a one million dollar winner from a Publix, also in St. Pete. September 5th, a one million dollar ticket from a 7-11 in Tampa. August 23rd, another one million dollar winner from a 7-11, this time in Port Charlotte.

There’s 2 of those grand prize tickets out there and neither have been claimed.
