Sanibel Ice Cream Shop Finally Opening After Hurricane Ian
I love to hear it!!! Another local business is opening their doors again. This time, a Sanibel ice cream shop is reopening their doors to the public following the devastation the island saw following the direct hit from Hurricane Ian in September of 2022.
I was just out on Sanibel and Captiva last weekend for the first time since the storm and the damage was incredible. Of course, there have been many improvements over the last several months, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. Being able to have dinner at one of my island favorites, RC Otters, and grab a slice of orange crunch cake from Boops by The Bubble Room with my daughter was just what we needed. It’s a summertime staple for our family that has obviously not been possible for a while. It was so nice to be back!
Sanibel Ice Cream Shop To Reopen
Pinocchio’s Original Italian Ice Cream announced via their Facebook page that they would reopen in February. It’s been over 500 days since Hurricane Ian and they are looking forward to welcoming customers back after what they called a long time for them to recuperate, rebuild and reconnect.
The green umbrellas are ready to welcome you back on Tuesday, February 13th from 11am – 9pm. Pinocchio’s in the Periwinkle Place Shops on Sanibel.
