Golisano Children’s Hospital ‘Radiothon’ Benefit Happening April 4th
On April 4th, 2024, the Beasley Media Group is joining forces with the Golisano Children’s Hospital for the Cares for Kids Radiothon event. Golisano, located in Fort Myers Florida, is the only children’s hospital between Tampa and Miami. The hospital delivers vital and lifesaving care for our local kids and their families.
The Cares for Kids Radiothon will feature live broadcasts from 4 Beasley Southwest Florida radio stations and their local talent. B1039, Sunny 1063, ESPN SWFL, and 96Krock.
Additionally, the event is sponsored by Cape Coral Crystal Dodge Jeep Ram. Mike Dickman, CMO shares his personal experience. “We spent some time at a children’s hospital with one of our sons. We were very fortunate, and our son is fine. But as we were leaving, it hit me that not every family here today would be as fortunate as we were. That is why I feel strongly about our participation in this event.”
I’ll be part of the broadcast as well. I have a personal connection to Golisano, as my nephew spent the first few weeks of his life at the hospital in the NICU. The staff and facilities are absolutely top notch, my family knew there was no better place for Josh and the struggles he faced just after he was born. After a difficult start, he’s now a happy, healthy child in grade school.
I’m not sure after his birth that Josh would have survived a trip to Tampa or Miami to get care. I think we owe his life to the Golisano Children’s Hospital here in Southwest Florida. And a special thank you to the Ronald McDonald House as well for everything they provided. But as amazing as the hospital is, there’s always the need for improvement.

How you can help the Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Over 120,000 kids were treated at Golisano last year. Your donations will support innovative programs and projects, patient services, equipment, and charitable care. And yes, every dollar we raise stays local.
On April 4th, tune in to one of our stations. We’ll be sharing stories about Golisano, and talking about the needs the hospital has. Most importantly, we’ll be taking donations. You’ll be able to make a donation with a phone call, text, or right here on this website. And when we hear from you on April 4th when you make that donation, I’m sure you’ll agree.
GIVING FEELS AWESOME.
