When traveling, sometimes eating at the airport is a necessity and if you want the best meal you can, one Miami airport restaurant is rated one of the best in America.
Whether you arrive at the airport early and have time to kill or have a long layover and need to pass the time, most airports have a great selection of dining options. If you want to grab & go, there’s little marts for that or if you want to sit down and eat, there’s full service restaurants. One of my favorites is Casa Bacardi at RSW in Fort Myers. I also found a great BBQ spot when I had a layover in Charlotte a few months back. I’m not a very picky eater, so finding good food isn’t too much of a challenge for me, but of course some places will be better than others.

The Family Vacation Guide put together a list of Foodie Airport Hotspots. To put together their list, they looked at restaurants in airports around the country and reviews on Yelp, Google and Tripadvisor. If you’re looking for a more upscale dining option, One Flew South at the Atlanta airport came in at #1 with dishes like poké tacos, a smoked gouda burger, NY strip and sushi rolls. Tying for first place is Root Down at Denver International featuring comfort food. Second place goes to Sushi Kyotatsu inside Narita International Airport in Tokyo. Third place is a little closer to home with La Carreta featuring Cuban favorites at Miami International.
