Florida allows bars to deliver alcohol, bans in-house services
Florida Governor Allows Home Delivery of Alcohol During Crisis After shutting down the state’s bars and nightclubs to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Friday threw partiers in the panhandle state a bone.
In a new executive order, DeSantis has lifted a state restriction that forbids eateries from delivering alcohol to customers’ homes.
Under the new order, alcohol can be delivered — as long as it accompanies a food order and the recipient shows I.D. Friday’s order also calls for all the state’s fitness centers and gyms to close.
