Florida Man Discovers $1K Lottery Ticket is Actually Worth $1M A Florida man who misread his scratch-off lottery ticket thought he’d won $1,000 — only to later realize the ticket was actually worth $1 million. Lee Wingfield, 63, says after buying a ticket in the morning, he went all day thinking he’d won $1,000. “That night I realized my prize had a lot more than three zeros in it,” he says.
