Britney Spears Returns to Instagram to Share Engagement Celebration
Britney Spears told her fans when she deleted her Instagram account that she would soon return, and less than a week later, she’s done just that.
“Some shots from my weekend getaway to celebrate my engagement with my … holy s— … FIANCÉ … I still can’t believe it !!!! I couldn’t stay away from the gram too long so I’m back already 💍😂🤷🏼♀️🤣 !!!!”
Though more than 800,000 people liked the post less than 24 hours of it being shared, some pointed out that the photos date back from February, causing worry. One fan asked, “new pics? what happened to the red in your hair 🤔,” since the “Circus” singer showed off images of red streaks and a shorter ‘do earlier this month.
Another fan wrote, “can you upload more pictures? we’re quite concerned britney.”
Spears then posted two hours later, using older footage from July of her dancing. “This was shot in July !!!! Remember Bad Guy ???? Well this is part 3 …. no … not same dance 💃🏼 !!! Different moves 🎹 !!!” she captioned the post.
The older photos and videos have become highly concerning for fans, with one person demanding Spears be videotaped saying, “she’s okay with today’s newspaper.”
Two hours after the July dancing video, Spears posted yet another older video, writing, “Sorry I like long hair to twirl … so this is me after vacuuming my living room with this bomb 💣 new glade Hawaiian 🌺 breeze carpet cleaner !!!!! Holy hell it’s great …. my living room smells 👌👌👌 so nice to WAKE UP to !!!!! This song by Lenny Kravitz is a fun one to dance to … of course my favorite lyric is I WAS BORN !!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL and don’t forget to stay grateful and say your prayers folks 🙏🏻✨ !!!!!”
The 39-year-old singer addressed the red dye speculation adding, “Pssss my red dye came out in the shower 🚿 and it looked like a crime scene 😬👻🩸!!!! Pssss ok … I’m taking myself very seriously in this dance 💃😹😜🤷♀️🤷♀️😹😳 !!!!!!!”
Spears announced her engagement to Sam Asghari on September 12, with many of her fans quickly rushing in to urge her new fiancé to sign a prenup, with actress Octavia Spencer even chiming in. “Make him sign a prenup,” she wrote, before apologizing to Sam for the comment.
