Florida Woman Arrested after Harassing Police With 11,000 Phone Calls!

Police say the suspect admitted that she “loves playing this game” and that she made more than 11,000 harassing phone calls to a police emergency line this year. Carla Jefferson, 50, was charged on Monday for making a barrage of phone calls to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Harassing Police:

According to The Smoking Gun, a criminal complaint states that Jefferson made 512 calls to the police department’s emergency communications center in a single 24-hour period last month. Investigators claim that Jefferson “harasses, belittles, swears at, and debates with” the police officers who respond to her calls.

Florida Woman Arrested:

Jefferson has occasionally asked that police show up at her St. Petersburg home and take her into custody. Jefferson then “retreats inside, refuses to answer the door, and has in the past given officers the middle finger and screamed at them through the windows” when the police arrive, according to the report. This week, she was eventually detained and later freed on bond.
