It always warms my heart when everday people spring into action to save the day. Not all heroes wear capes. But these folks deserve an S on thier chest.
According to NBC-2, Around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Collier County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to the Santa Barbara Boulevard overpass in response to a report of a woman standing outside the perimeter fence. Threatening to jump into the vehicles below, the woman.
The woman, who made numerous attempts to escape, was held by a deputy and a citizen who were able to reach through the fence. But wait here’s more…
When a box truck traveling south spotted the situation, he was able to stop and park below the woman. The woman was assisted in making a safe fall from the bridge by deputies and more bystanders who were able to climb to the top of the truck.
Talk about people coming together for the common good! Way to go guys. Who wants shawarma?
After then, the victim was taken to NCH Downtown Baker Hospital for assessment.
