Florida Pets Shine: Cadbury Bunny Tryouts Return for 2024
It’s that time of year again when Cadbury’s on the hunt for their next big star. But before you get too excited, I found one. A fat dog named Widget. I didn’t look very far. She was on my couch, looking at me to feed her. That’s when I thought to myself, You know what? Widget is perfect for being a chubby Cadbury Bunny.
According to Food and Wine, Cadbury is once again holding auditions for the next pet to hold the title of the Cadbury Bunny. I do love that bunny too. For more than thirty years, seeing that fluffy bunny meant Easter was coming, and it was time to get hyped for spring. Now I’m excited about getting my dog in front of that camera.
But your pet has a shot too. Cadbury says any pet can audition to be the bunny. In the past, they had dogs, a frog, and even a one-eyed rescue cat named Crash rocking those bunny ears. Diversity baby! Do you have a cockatiel bird? Guess what? It’s now a Cadbury Cockatiel Bunny. You have a bearded Dragon? They too can be a bunny. A bearded bunny! It’s 2024!!

You and your furry (or scaly, or feathery , whatever floats your boat) friend can join in on the fun. The Cadbury Bunny Tryouts are happening on Instagram. Just follow @CadburyUSA, post a pic or video of your pet explaining why they should be the 2024 Cadbury Bunny, and make sure to tag Cadbury and use #CadburyBunnyContest.
The winner snags up to $7,000 in cash and gets to star in the next Cadbury commercial! Even if you don’t win the whole shebang, there’s cash up for grabs at every stage of the competition. From $100 to $800!
Now if I can just get Widget, my fat dog, to stay still in those bunny ears. Just for a few moments, she could be a star. Your pet could too. But I will say, if you have a dog posing with chocolate, just be careful. They may be able to promote Cadbury. But it’s still a poison for dogs. Let’s have fun, and be safe too. Remember that the funny bunny ears are for them, but the chocolate is for us.

Self-care never goes out of style. Take your adult Easter basket to the next level with aromatherapy candles or essential oils. You can even take a bath time approach with items like bath bombs, body wash, bath salt, and lotion. Skincare items can also work for your basket with items like face masks, serums, and oils. Something different to gift could be a journal or notebook for writing or drawing. Even nail polish or make-up can work in this case.

Of course, Easter baskets are always full of treats. You can go the traditional route with Cadbury Creme Eggs and chocolate Easter bunnies or specialty items like beef jerky or limited-edition chips. Just gather up some of the giftee’s favorite foods or even sauces or spices to add to their basket. Things like bubblegum, mints, popcorn, or mixed nuts can work for your basket too.

Phone accessories are great for the TikTok King or Queen in your life. If your special person receiving the gift is into getting the perfect lighting in their photos or giving their followers a play-play on their day-to-day this is an option for your basket. Think, of selfie clips that attach to a phone, mini ring lights, and mini tripods for maximum stability. If you want something that quick and simple there are always pop sockets and phone cases. Just make sure you know what kind of phone the person have before purchasing.

You can also get creative with your jewelry find and hunt down Easter-themed jewelry. For example, bunny earrings, or maybe even an egg necklace.

If you’re creating a basket for a person who enjoys lazy days and overall comfort, items like socks, slippers, robes, throw blankets, and pajamas are perfect. These kinds of items are great for people who love an excuse to stay inside and cozy up. It will have them saying things like “Sorry, can’t go out today, I have to test out my new slippers.” And they’re small enough to fit in your DIY basket.

If your giftee is a bookworm, then you can’t go wrong with a book. If you can’t make up your mind on what kind of book. Maybe go for a book card from their favorite bookstore instead.
