Do We Need to Stop Referring to Boyfriends As “Hubby?” Someone invited The Real talk show host, Loni Love, to an event and referred to her boyfriend as “hubby” and the term rubbed Loni the wrong way.
She text the person back, I don’t have a hubby. I have a boyfriend. She tweeted, some of y’all get your boyfriends mixed up with what a hubby is.
I don’t. That’s a different level. Relationships have departed from the social traditions of the past.
