Bad Bunny Makes ‘Playboy’ Cover History
A couple of months ago Bad Bunny appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone, and now he’s making magazine history by becoming the second man in Playboy history to appear solo on the magazine’s cover (the only other man to do it was the magazine’s founder Hugh Hefner).
Bad Bunny’s Playboy cover is their first as a digital magazine; the issue actually has two covers.
The first cover below features the 26-year-old Hispanic singer with decorated nails and bunny stickers on his lips.
Bad Bunny, birth name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has often been criticized and bullied for his femme aesthetics; but the Puerto Rican singer continues to push to educate his audience on inclusivity, and it appears that Playboy is doing the same.
“There’s nothing worse than being somewhere and feeling like you don’t belong,” he told Playboy.
In his most recent video for “Yo Perreo Sola,” the Hispanic singer appears in full drag, twerking in a red latex outfit and later is collared and leashed by three women seated on thrones. With graphic scenes of him twerking with his drag alter ego.

“No other high-profile mainstream Latin artist seems as aggressive or sincere about it as he does, although there is an important distinction between being the ally that he is and ascending to ‘queer icon,’ which Ricky Martín has prematurely labeled him,” says Playboy writer, E.R. Pulgar.
