Naples is one of the fastest-growing vacation destinations in the United States
This isn’t the list of the most popular destinations, but Naples, Florida made the list of the fastest growing travel destinations in the US. According to Local 10:
The number one fastest growing vacation travel destination is St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, followed by Broken Bow OK, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and at number 5 our very own Naples Florida. This comes from Vrbo who claim over 25% increase in demand for seven-night stays as compared to the same holiday period in 2019. Let’s just forget about 2020, shall we.
It makes complete sense. Just doing a quick Vrbo search for Memorial Day weekend in Naples and you can get a decent 3 bedroom house for around $300 a night. Way less than what you’d spend on 3 hotel rooms. Once people realize how cheap you can stay in Cape Coral I could see it’s popularity rising. 3 bedroom houses less than $200 a night. Someone listed their 4 bedroom house boat (they called it a yacht) docked in downtown Fort Myers at $450 a night. You start comparing these prices to anything available in Miami and you can see why more and more people are coming to our coast.
Each year it seems like fewer and fewer people are returning up north for the summer. Or is it that more and more people are coming here during the summer to replace them?
