They say "No Tip, No Trip".

And it's not just Uber Eats. It's Grub Hub and Door Dash too. The delivery drivers say that the tip you place on the order can effect the speed of the delivery.

Restaurants have noticed that some orders may wait for more than an hour before a driver picks it up.

The drivers know what they're doing. If an order comes through with no tip on it, they can decline that order and it goes to someone else. And why would they take it? If an order comes in and it has a $3 delivery fee on it, there's really no incentive to use their time and their gas to make that delivery. The drivers suggest you be generous with your tip and you're likely to receive your food faster.

But that's where some customers have found a work around. With Uber Eats, the customer has an hour after the food is delivered to adjust the tip. So, and this has happened in Cape Coral, people would pre tip a generous amount, and then after the delivery take the tip back.

Just tip the drivers, please.
