It’s been an interesting two days for the Twitter account that specializes in one thing, telling us when the delicious Publix Chicken Tender Sub is on sale. Miami tv station Local 10 wrote a story about the account receiving a cease and desist from lawyers representing Publix.

SAY IT AIN'T SO!! A popular Twitter account that notified followers when Publix chicken-tender subs were on sale has been abandoned after lawyers for the Florida-based grocery chain apparently objected.

NBC2 here in town picked up the story as well.

Even I believed the news. That my favorite Twitter account from the last 4 years has been shut down.  Turns out, it’s all fake news. And we all believed it. Because guess what?

Publix Chicken Tender Subs go on sale tomorrow for $6.99. The Publix Chicken Tender Sub is on sale! I’d like to apologize for spreading the fake news. You really can’t trust anything you read on the internet. Unless it’s good news about delicious Publix Chicken Tender Subs. That’s real.

Here’s some baseball players celebrating the news. Or maybe celebrating something else, I’m not sure. I’m just happy.
