Hurricane Ian Tuesday 5pm Update – It’s Getting Worse
The Hurricane Ian Tuesday 5pm Update is in and – not good. Hurricane Warnings Extended Southward in Southwestern Florida. And you know who has arrived.

Hurricane warnings are in effect for Lee County north to Tampa. Collier County has now joined in. Check the image.
A storm surge warning is also in effect along much of Florida’s west coast.
The National Weather Service in Miami issued the following warning at 2:14pm today, September 27th:
Tornado warning for southeastern Collier County in SWFL. Northern Mainland Monroe County in SWFL and Central Miami-Dade County in SEFL. If you’re on Alligator Alley evacuating to the east coast, please be alert.
Hurricane Ian 5pm evacuation notices:
Mandatory evacuations for Lee County are for Zone A. This zone encompasses mostly low lying areas. Also those along coastal areas and the barrier islands. In addition sections along the Caloosahatchee River. Evacuation orders are also now in place for all of Zone B which encompasses numerous areas in Cape Coral and also Fort Myers.
Charlotte County Emergency Management has issued evacuation orders for residents in Zone A and B. This includes those living on the barrier islands of Don Pedro Island, Knight Island (Palm Island), Little Gasparilla Island, Gasparilla Island and Manasota Key, as well as residents in any zone living in mobile homes and trailers. Check your zone.
