‘Dogfishing’ Trend Is Duping Singles on Dating Apps
No one said dating is easy but “dogfishing” isn’t gonna make it any easier. If you haven’t heard of “dogfishing” it’s where someone uses someone else’s dog on their online dating profile, to get a date.
The practice is popping up on several online dating apps and it’s leaving daters feeling dogged out, “Sometimes women subconsciously equate things like how a man treats his dog is how he would treat a partner,” online dating coach Erika Ettin says.
Bottom line: Don’t use a random dog on your dating profile, it’s weird and desperate.
