JUST IN: Sarasota Decriminalizes Possession Of Marijuana Under 20 grams
Sarasota voted to decriminalize possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
The vote also covered cannabis paraphernalia and both will be punishable by a civil penalty. If you get caught with weed or paraphernalia (since it’s still illegal) it will now be punishable by a civil citation if it is under 20 grams.
Violators will only pay a $100 fine or complete 10 hours of community service which you’ll need to complete within 60 days of the offense.
